When I was 16, I sat in a room with allergists as I was informed I had a disease that was completely unknown to everyone in my family. I had no idea what gluten was, nor how to adapt my carb-loaded habits to this change. I went home, and ate an entire pie as I cried. That was my last farewell to a "regular," gluten-filled life. Four years and four semesters of journalism school later, I'm here to promote my love for GF representation in NYC and Westchester county.
