As you've probably seen on TikTok, Posh Pop is one of the best known New York gluten-free bakeries. At this point, I don't even want to look back at how much I've spent in their pink-themed showcase where you'll find every GF item you've missed being able to enjoy. A trip to the West Village every night after dinner is a common request in my experiences, and Posh Pop is always a hit, no matter the season.
Naturally, they've taken on the challenge of producing pumpkin-flavored items, and also Halloween-themed treats. The fall collection features: pumpkin cakepops, snickerdoodle sandwiches, pumpkin bread, pumpkin cinnamon rolls, Twix cheesecake, and more alongside their usual classic items. Due to popular demand, and being a college student lacking funds, we tried the items with the most appeal on this list.
1. Cinnamon Sugar Pretzel
Heart-shaped cinnamon sugar pretzel —where could we go wrong? As mentioned in the recent TikTok video posted on @glutenfreepaige, eating this "gives me flashbacks to when I was a kid in Canada at the fair." GF soft pretzels were something I had only seen in my dreams... until Posh decided to add them to their line. This pretzel has a mastered consistency where it is soft and flavorful, and seems to be an out-of-world experience when you're adjusted to the freezer-burned version within the aisles of your local grocery store.
2. Pumpkin Cakepop
The thought of combining pumpkin and cakepops is something I'd never think of, but I must say it is quite genius. The flavor of this pop screamed Dunkin' pumpkin swirl with an almost identical taste. As a basic, iced coffee loving white woman, pumpkin flavored anything is something I strive to taste throughout the month of October, and this fits me into the demographic perfectly. The white chocolate dip on the outer layer offered a perfect crunch, while being the precursor to the indulgent interior that two bites can offer.
3. Twix Cheesecake
Posh Pop continues to give me hope in the future of GF cheesecake, and as stated on TikTok — "they never cease to amaze me." The Twix-themed cake had layers of filling, caramel, chocolate, and a cookie to top it all off. I'm not sure what Posh does to their cheesecake filling, but I can say I've had to take out a separate loan to afford this addiction.
4. Samoa Cookie
Ironically, I was thinking about two weeks ago how I'd never enjoy one of the classic Girl Scout Cookies again, shoutout to Posh Pop for fulfilling my fantasies. Like a message sent from the gluten-free rulers, themselves, my wishes came true. It's almost as if they had taken the original recipe, and somehow doubled the flavor, texture, and level of enjoyment. Tasted so good I had to call my Mom and tell her the amazing news (she has to hear my complaints every Girl Scout season so this is a win for both of us).
Not pictured, we also took the opportunity of being in Posh's presence to indulge in a classic chocolate cakepop, which is never a miss. To get the holiday season rolling, it was conveniently coated in bat-shaped sprinkles, which had added to the cuteness factor Posh Pop has always had going for themselves.
As always, great atmosphere, great theme, and extraordinary baked goods. Posh Pop's fall collection already has me ready to go back for seconds, and thirds. Until next season, and another review. Posh, it's been real... see you tomorrow.
